Hi, I’m Chloe Oolman

Owner & Operator of Bark Bath.

I grew up on an acreage outside of Sioux Center, and caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. From stopping to check on a baby bunny in the yard each spring to showing 4-H animals, I’ve always had a natural love for animals and making sure they’re well cared for.

After high school, I attended Dordt University where I earned my associate’s degree in business. During that time, I had the opportunity to train under a local groomer with decades of experience. That hands-on training is where I really fell in love with grooming and learned the skills that helped me start Bark Bath in 2022.

What started as a small grooming business has now grown into an expanded space here in Ireton, where we’re able to offer both grooming and boarding services. My husband Zach and I are proud to call this community home, and it means a lot to be able to provide something that wasn’t previously available in the area.

I truly enjoy working with dogs of all breeds and personalities. Some dogs come in excited and confident, while others need a little more time and patience—and that’s okay. My goal is always to make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re here.

Thank you for trusting me with your pets—it’s something I never take lightly.
